Console Games - Wii

I wanted WiiFit. I wanted it badly. I used to mock it, I still mock it. It's just plain stupid sci-fi apparel for Wii, among the light guns, guitars and what not. At least that was what I thought it would be. Nobody told me, that I was going to witness the thing I saw other night, while doing ordinary body test.

For those that still have managed to keep out of the harms way, I brief you a little. The WiiFit is a balance board equipped with scale and few pressure sensors. The package also includes a game, that consists of many simple gamelets or mini games, to be played with the balance board. The game also keeps track of your weight and BMI, and tries to encourage you to do muscle training and aerobic training regularly. And for the less Manly(tm) there's also some yoga shite, which I won't touch being a manly man I am.

So, to cut the story short, I've been doing the balance test and exercises for a while now. Last weekend, after a few days break from fitting up with Wii, I had gained a bit of weight. This didn't go unnoticed, so I had to give an explanation to the balance board (couple of options sprung up to the screen). From those, I chose the very obvious one: too much drinking done. Next couple of seconds made me convinced, that this "plain balance board" diggs so deep down you personality that not even your mother has ever gone.

Everyone of us is probably familiar with the concept of so called "beer belly". I've always thought, that when someone woes about his or her beer belly, normal people tell him or her to slow down on the drinking side. Normal people just don't know, that much I've always known. Fortunately the Balance Board knows.

My newest electronic friend told me to keep track of snacks I consume during the wasting out period. Yeah. No moral lectures about dangers of drinking, no nagging, just few lines about the fact that when you booze up, you tend to feel a bit snackish. It just knows. I tell you, the thing just knows. During the many times it has measured, not only my weight but also my aura it seems, the radiation on celestial particles that everyone of us emits, it has become to conclusion that telling me to keep out of beer is a waste of time. Bless you, WiiFit. Thank you Nintendo. My weekends are now saved. I just have to keep an eye on the snacks while gulping down my lager.

Dang! Sounds cool, I'll probably have to get Fit someday, too.
