Efemeros, a Finnish role-playing article collection has been published last week. The collection contains two articles from Sami Koponen (also the editor of the collection) and an article each by Wille Ruotsalainen and Eero Tuovinen. The article collection is available only on paper, only in Finnish and can be ordered here (in Finnish). It costs 20€.
Here's the list of articles:
- Ideological Role-Playing (Sami Koponen) -
Koponen plots out the possibilities in tackling ideology in
role-playing games. The article is based on interviews of Finnish
role-players and rpg designers.
- Shinobi No Mono (Sami Koponen) - Koponen uses an aforistic tale of students and sensei to describe different basic techniques of role-playing.
- Making Adventures (Will Ruotsalainen) -
Ruotsalainen channels the spirit of now-defunct Finnish rpg magazine
Magus in his article about adventure design.
- Designing a Campaign (Eero Tuovinen) - Tuovinen describes campaign design using a case of designing a campaign set in Switzerland as an example.
All in all a welcome publication in the Finnish rpg scene. We wish
Sami and other adventurers good fortune and hope they continue on their
campaign!
