I'm not a huge fan of IGN, but here goes anyway
Yeah. Indeed. It's cool. It probably is more immersive than Wii's remote and nunchucks, but what's the thing that I keep on thinking?

We had a bit of a festive happening at our place yesterday, and the guests were all into gaming. So it wasn't such a surprise that we went through multiple gaming articles. Some happyfuild were consumed, naturally. Here's some thoughts about what was fun, and what just didn't actually work out as I expected. From evening to 8am several games were tried, and the big hit was a bit of a surprise indeed.

I had a funny moment just minutes ago when I plugged my reloadable batteries to the power outlet. There was just one plug left, the rest were taken by my Nintendo DS and cell phone charger. Needless to say, the batteries are going to be eaten up by my wiimotes, which will travel with me also. I'm gonna be all geeked up!

Sorry, this is totally off topic. But I would like to share this with you guys.
I went to a stand-up club with my wife last tuesday. It was an ongoing club at the local casino; we had free tickets so we thought what the heck and went. The last time I've been to a stand-up club was about three years ago in Ilokivi in Jyväskylä, one of the premier places for stand-up in Finland.
The host of the night was Teemu Vesterinen, one of the guys that built the stand-up scene in Jyväskylä and consequently in Finland about ten years ago. We thought it would be interesting to see if he would have developed over the years as the way we remembered it he was one of the less funny & original ones in Jyväskylä. Maybe his organizational talents and sheer determination helped him make a career out of it, who knows? Or maybe he just got better(or I'm in the minority not liking his act in the first place).

Indeed I do. Now it is time to blast something away away away! Probably something shaped like human, and that will scream and shout when hit. Indeed. There is a reason: stress relieving. I just wanted to say, that Wii is made for this kind of action. like the old coin-op classics, Operation Thunderbolt and such, Wii has its own set of ray-gun shooters, and I really like this genre. I am not yet so sure if there is any good options, but the mechanics are here. And so are a few games, like Umberella Chronicles and Ghost Squad. But well, now it is time to sit back and blast some heads away, so expect some kind of report in near future.

Four months ago I wrote about the CRPG project Esenthel in the old Alt+Games blog. Today I went to check out what has happened in the project since that time. It seems that the team has been very busy during last Autumn and around the holidays: They've released new versions of their demo as well as the game engine, and added a lot of stuff to both. I'm going to check out the newest game demo (as well as try out the included editor) and I hope you do too. In the meanwhile, as a part of the archiving project, here's the old article I wrote on Esenthel on October 2007. You can download them from the game's website .
Esenthel is an ongoing project to create a 3D computer role-playing game in the vein of the Elder Scrolls series (Morrowind, Oblivion). The game is being developed by an independent group of developers and game enthusiasts. While the development is still on-going (and I suspect that the final product won't be released tomorrow) the group has released the newest (at the time of the original article) demo of the game in the beginning of October. The demo consists of a short dungeon crawl and is essentially a concept and technology demostration.
